Candidates will receive an email when you post a job ad that matches their settings for the job tip subscription emails. With the option to subscribe to exactly the department/s and role/s you want, the candidate can completely customize when to get emails for new job listings.

The default setting is that the candidate gets job tip emails related to the department/role they've connected with.

Example 1: Candidate A

Candidate A connects with your Product Development department, the role of Frontend developer, and chooses the location Stockholm in the next step.

The candidate didn’t alter the job subscription settings and will therefor receive an email when you publish a job ad within the department Product Development, role Frontend developer, and location Stockholm.

Example 2: Candidate B

Candidate B connects with your People department, the role of Account Manager, and doesn't fill in a location.

The candidate didn’t change the job subscription settings and will therefor receive an email when you publish a job ad within the People department, the role of Account Manager and regardless of which location you choose.

Example 3: Candidate C

Candidate C only connects with your Product department in Stockholm.

But, the candidate then updated their job subscription details in their profile as per the second screenshot and will get job tip emails according to those settings.

So, Candidate C will receive an email when you publish a job ad in the Backend developer role within the Product department, as well as Key Account Management and Sales Development Manager roles within your People department. Since the candidate chose Stockholm as their preferred location, only jobs posted in Stockholm will be sent to make sure they are relevant to the candidate.
