# Co-pilot: Resume summaries

A Company Admin user needs to activate Co-pilot in the [Add-on feature center](https://support.teamtailor.com/en/articles/3825410-add-on-features) to get started.

Once activated, the *Resume summaries* feature can be toggled on/off under **Settings → Recruitment → Co-pilot → Candidate insights**.

With this feature, Co-pilot automatically summarizes the candidate’s resume into a five-point bullet list displayed in the **Resume** section, helping you focus on the most important information when screening candidates.

# Resume summary

The resume summary will exclude any identifying details about the candidate, such as their name, email address, gender, or other personal information. Co-pilot will summarize the most recently uploaded resume on their candidate profile.

Underneath the summary, you will also find the option to show the full resume whenever you prefer.

Only resumes added to the system while the Co-pilot feature **Resume summaries** is active will get summarized automatically. For pre-existing resumes, there will be a button available where they can be summarized manually.

## Edit summary

If anything in the summary is incorrect, you can hover over the summary and make the edits needed.

Once the changes are saved, the user who made the edits and a timestamp will be displayed at the bottom of the summary.

# Resume timeline

Co-pilot also generates a timeline from the parsed resume, highlighting the candidate's employment and/or education history.

Periods where no employment or education is recorded are highlighted, helping you quickly spot potential gaps and gain a clearer understanding of the candidate's background.

# Settings

Under **Settings → Recruitment → Co-pilot → Candidate insights**, you can toggle the summary and timeline on or off to match your preferred presentation on each candidate card.

If you are using [Career sites in multiple languages](https://support.teamtailor.com/en/articles/5119291-career-sites-in-multiple-languages) it will summarize the resume based on the chosen  *job ad language* of the job the candidate last applied for.

If not, it will use the company's career site language chosen under **Settings** **→ Content → Career site.**
