Teamtailor offers two different regions for data processing and storage, Europe (Ireland) or North America (Oregon), to ensure high scalability and quality of our service. It's always up to you, as our customer, to choose in which region you want to have the personal data processed and stored. Each region operates discreetly, meaning that no data is transferred between instances.

What you choose mainly depends on your location and the data protection laws you should comply with.

Locate the chosen region for your account under Settings → Company → General → Data processing region.

If you choose to have your personal data processed in our EU (Ireland) region, the personal data will mainly be stored with AWS Ireland and processed mainly inside the EU/EEA.

Depending on which services and features you use (and thereby which sub-processors are involved in the provision of the service), personal data may be transferred outside these areas, as further detailed on our list of sub-processors for the EU region.

If you choose to have your personal data processed in our North America (Oregon) region, the personal data will mainly be stored with AWS (Oregon) and mainly processed in the US. A US version of our sub-processor list is available upon request.
