Under Settings → Recruitment → Co-pilot → Candidate management, toggle on Candidate screening:

This feature helps streamline your recruitment process by evaluating candidates against criteria you set. This allows you to make informed decisions faster and focus on the most relevant applications.

How to set it up

Go to a job and click the three dots on the Inbox stage and then click Screening criteria:

Then either click "+ Add criteria" to write your own criteria or click "Suggest a criteria" to have Co-pilot suggest one based on the job description.

Verify criteria

In order to save you must first verify the criteria. By doing this you will be notified if any of the prompts you have written is not going to work in an optimal way.

For example if the prompt is just "5 years experience" you will get a warning saying that you need to be more specific.

You don't have to address the warnings, as there might be cases where you have a valid use-case for the prompt you've written. But in most cases we recommend that you don't have any warnings before saving.

Once you are done, click "Save and enable" and it will start evaluating all the candidates in Inbox!

How to write good criteria

Title

The title will only be shown on the candidate, it has no effect on the result of the criteria evaluation. Pick something short which describes what the criteria is.

Prompt

The prompt is what Co-pilot is evaluating the criteria against, and it is important how it is written. Here are some examples on good criteria;

Title: "Software Engineer experience"

Prompt: "At least 10 years of experience as a Software Engineer."

Title: "Computer Science education"

Prompt: "Holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science."

Title: "Based in San Francisco"

Prompt: "Resides in San Francisco or willing to relocate."

Title: "Driver's license",

Prompt: "Holds a valid driver's license."

Sort based on criteria

You can sort the candidates in Inbox, so that the ones with most fulfilled criteria ends up in the top; making it easy to do bulk actions.

Click the three dots on the Inbox stage, then go to "Sort" and select "Screening criteria".
