Using Teamtailor, you have the option to ask your candidates video questions that they answer by uploading or recording a video. This could be a great way to get a more personal presentation of your candidates.
You can include video questions in the initial job application, as well as include them in a questionnaire that you send to candidates through email.
Create a video question
Video questions can be created through Settings → Recruitment → Questions or directly when you create a job or set up a questionnaire.
Video questions in an application form
To attach a video question to a job’s application form, head over to the Application step, click on + Select question, and choose + Create question. Here, you can choose to create a question with Video as the question type.
The candidate will then be asked to record or upload a video as part of the job application.
Video questions in a questionnaire
You can also attach a video question to a questionnaire. Start by navigating to Messages in the action bar. Once the message has been composed, click the question icon to attach the video question. The candidate will be asked to record or upload the video via the link attached to the email.
Answering a video question
When the candidate answers this question, they will have the option of uploading or recording a video. If the candidate chooses to record the video, they will also be presented with the option to redo the recording.
In order for the recording option to appear, they need to grant access to it in the web browser.
