A Really Simple Syndication feed, or RSS feed, is an easy way to receive up-to-date information in a standardized, readable format. The feed consists of metadata that can be shared elsewhere, such as other promotion channels where an XML feed or API integration is not possible.

With Teamtailor, we provide an RSS feed for your jobs page on your Teamtailor-built careers site.

How to create the RSS feed

Simple! Go to the main jobs page of your careers site and add ".rss". For example, https://career.teamtailor.com/jobs.rss

What's included in the feed?

The following metadata is included in the RSS feed. Note that all of the data is publicly available:

  • Job title

  • Job description

  • URL to the jobs page or advert

  • Remote status

  • A global ID number

  • Job location(s)

  • Job department

  • Job role

LinkedIn Job Wrapping

LinkedIn Job Wrapping is a service provided by LinkedIn that allows you to pull information, such as new job postings, from your careers site RSS feed and send them to your LinkedIn accounts or paid LinkedIn promotions automatically.

Most commonly, this involves adding a word or script to your job description, which is then picked up by LinkedIn when you post the job on Teamtailor. As the job description is a field within the RSS feed, LinkedIn can automatically make decisions on what to do with this job posting.

As this is a LinkedIn service, you will need to contact LinkedIn to activate it. If they ask for your Teamtailor RSS feed, then follow the instructions above.

Good luck, and feel free to reach out if you have any questions!
