VDAB (Vlaamse Dienst voor Arbeidsbemiddeling en Beroepsopleiding) is a key job board in the Flemish employment market.

Using this integration requires credentials provided by VDAB. Please contact the VDAB to start the certification process. You can find more information about how to contact them here.

Getting started with VDAB

In order to activate this integration you will need to contact the VDAB and request to receive the needed credentials. Your VDAB contact will send you the first credentials which you can use in Teamtailor.

💡 Good to know - Required testing process

Before you can get the ‘live’ credentials for this integration, VDAB will ask you to go through a certification process. During the certification process VDAB will provide you with credentials to their 'test environment'. You can add these credentials in the settings of the integration in Teamtailor (see following steps), and select 'Test' environment. Once that is set up, they usually ask you to send 5 to 10 job listings to their test environment for them to review. Please make sure that you let your contact at VDAB know that you have sent in the test vacancies.

Once you pass this certification process, VDAB will provide you with 'live' credentials, which you can use later on to update the settings of the integration in Teamtailor, and switch the environment to 'Live', as described under section "Activation of the production credentials".

Getting started in Teamtailor

Once you have received the test credentials from the VDAB via email, you can start setting up the integration on your platform.
To begin with, activate the integration in your Teamtailor marketplace.

This will lead you to your platform's settings and open the set-up of this integration specifically. Select the VDAB test environment and fill in the test username, test password and test supplier ID that you have received from your contact at the VDAB.

Promote a (test) job to VDAB

Once the activation has been completed, head over to the job in question and click on the Promote tab.

Scroll down to the Activated job boards section and click on VDAB. Fill in the form with the right information and finish by clicking on Publish.

Activation of the production credentials

As soon as the test vacancies have been received and approved by VDAB, you will receive the production credentials and can update the credentials to start posting vacancies in the production environment.

Move to the settings of your platform and open the Marketplace activations section. Here you will be able to click on the VDAB integration. You can recognize the same page you have set up during the initial test set-up.
This time you can update all the "live" credentials you have received from VDAB. Don't forget to also select the Live VDAB environment. Once you have saved the new credentials you will be able to send your jobs to the VDAB job board.
