ADP has enabled the Workforce Now Next Gen APIs, which are used for your integration to be compatible with this expanded solution, providing more options.
ADP will update the App Listing to indicate that when the client enables the data connector, they need to work with their ADP MAS Support Representative or ADP Workforce Now Support Representative to enable this configuration. We suggest that you inform your implementation and support team to check if they are on Workforce Now Next Gen and if so, reach out to their support representative to avoid any issues when an ADP client enables your connector.
There are two APIs that have process changes::
Partners that use Applicant Onboarding : In the prior functionality of the API if a required field for a “Complete” hire was missing or invalid, the API would fail and respond with an error.
For Workforce Now Next Generation additional fields that are required, and missing from the request, the API will succeed, but move the employee to an
“In Progress” and response will provide detail which field is missing. Client practitioner will be able to finish hiring the employee in Workforce Now, which ensures the client can hire the employee while they work with their Partners to resolve the underlying issue (for example a missing value or field for their integration).
Partners that use Pay Data Input : The Workforce Now Next Gen product uses a new calculation engine, which changed the fundamental structure of the API. This resulted in additional required fields and more robust policy names. We added a configuration within the product to turn on compatibility mode so clients can enable the API to be compatible with the existing API schema.
