With To-do templates, your new users will know exactly what to do from their very first login to Teamtailor, with tasks presented on their dashboard. These to-dos can be customized based on their assigned roles in the account, ensuring that the right tasks are displayed and tailored to them.
Create a to-do template
Start by navigating to Settings → Templates → To-dos. From there, you can create a new to-do template by clicking the pink + button or duplicate an existing one from the list.
Template details
Start by defining who this template is for and add a name so it’s clear who it refers to. A Company Admin, for example, might need a different onboarding than a Hiring Manager, which is why you can tailor to-dos based on user roles.
To-do list
Add the to-dos for the new user, and include the description needed. Keep in mind that you can hyperlink words if you want to refer to specific pages. Finally, add the due date of the task, letting your colleagues know when they are expected to complete this task. The due date added will be relative to the time when the new user logs in for the first time.
Once you are finished with the setup, click Save.
Note! New templates or updates to existing ones will only apply to newly added users, not to those added previously.
How will it look for your users?
After you’ve created the to-do template, it will be used for all users added with that specific access level from now on. It will be displayed in the My to-dos widget as illustrated in the screenshot below:
Ensure that the widget called My to-dos is visible for all your users in the dashboard settings. Read how to do that here.
