Learn how to automatically create new employees in Learningbank via Teamtailor

By activating the Learningbank integration, you'll be able to use triggers to automatically create a new employee in Learningbank.

Getting started in Teamtailor

To enable the integration between Learningbank and Teamtailor, you connect your existing Learningbank account to Teamtailor through our Marketplace page.

First things first: collect your Learningbank API key and API password.

To find the API key: login to a Learningbank account, go to the menu (on the left) > Integration Hub > go to API keys (right upper corner) > create new key. You will automatically receive the password. Make sure to store this information safely.

Step 1. Activate Learningbank in the marketplace of the Teamtailor application

You will be redirected to the activations page in your Teamtailor settings where you can add your Learningbank API key and password. Click 'Finish installation'.

Set up the trigger in Teamtailor

Now the integration is activated you can head over to one of your jobs in Teamtailor. From the applications view, you should click on the Triggers symbol (1).

Select the stage from which you want the transfer to trigger by clicking the ➕ (2) in that stage. Candidates that are moved to this stage will be automatically be created in Learningbank and receive an email invite.

Select Send Learningbank webhook to add the trigger.

Complete the configuration by selecting the department and user type you want to use. The dropdown options are taken from your Learningbank account, and will decide in which department the new employee is created and their permission level (normal user or administrator). Click 'Add trigger' to complete the set up.

Note: the required fields on the candidate card for the Learningbank integration are first name, last name and email address. Without these fields the integration will return an error.


Using the integration

Candidates that are moved to the stage where the Learningbank trigger is added will be automatically created in Learningbank and receive an invite.

On the candidate card you can see that the account is created (= sent). You can then find the new employees in your Learningbank account under 'user management'.


What data is transferred?

Once the Learningbank integration is triggered the following information will be transferred between Teamtailor and Learningbank:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Department Ids

  • User type Ids
