Teamtailor 2FA works hand in hand with your authenticator app to ensure a secure and stable connection. If you're having trouble signing in, we have some tips to help you troubleshoot your app and the current 2FA setup.

Teamtailor offers a 2FA connection using an authenticator app. If your company uses SSO, you might have a separate security setup outside of Teamtailor. If so, please reach out to your IT department.

Troubleshoot your authenticator app

If you are unable to sign in using 2FA, the first place to investigate might be the authenticator app.

  • Check if you are using the latest app version

  • If you have multiple codes in your authenticator app, make sure you're using the one linked to your Teamtailor account

  • Check the specific troubleshooting guide for the authenticator app you're using:

Using VPN, AdBlockers or other security programs

Different types of security programs/browser extensions can, in some cases, affect the internet connection or the general performance of the browser. This might also be one of the reasons why you are not able to sign in using your current 2FA setup.

One factor that can be affected is the grace period, the short window of time during which Teamtailor accepts the code from your authenticator app. If you for example using VPN or experiencing network delays, it may cause a valid code to appear expired.

Disable and set it up again

If you're still unable to sign in after following the steps above, you may need to disable 2FA and set it up again.

Please note that, for security reasons, Teamtailor cannot assist with disabling 2FA. To proceed, contact a colleague with Company Admin access and ask them to disable 2FA on your account.
