By activating the Dropbox Sign integration, you'll be able to add triggers that automatically send documents for signing to candidates.

Dropbox Sign is the intuitive way to sign and request signatures securely online. Add legally valid signatures to any agreement—from new-hire offer letters to loans to sales contracts to NDAs. An award-winning user interface, robust admin controls, document tracking, and enterprise-grade security that's more secure than pen and paper methods all come default out-of-the-box.

Combine Teamtailor and Dropbox Sign to make signing documents fast and easy!

Getting started in Teamtailor

To enable the integration between Dropbox Sign and Teamtailor, you connect your existing Dropbox Sign account to Teamtailor through our Marketplace page.

First things first: collect your Dropbox Sign API key in your account. Go to the API tab and click 'generate key'. See image below.

Then also create an API key with Admin Read rights in your Teamtailor account (via settings > API keys). Make sure to use the correct settings, otherwise the integration won't work.

Now go to your Teamtailor account and search for Dropbox Sign in the marketplace.

Step 1. Activate Dropbox Sign in the marketplace of the Teamtailor application

You will be redirected to the activations page in your Teamtailor settings where you can add the API keys.

Step 2. Add your Dropbox Sign and Teamtailor API keys

Set up the trigger in Teamtailor

Now the integration is activated you can head over to one of your jobs in Teamtailor. From the applications view, you should click on the Triggers symbol (1).

Select the stage from which you want the transfer to trigger by clicking the ➕ (2) in that stage. Candidates that are moved to this stage will be automatically send the Dropbox Sign document.

Select Send Dropbox Sign document to add the trigger.

Complete the configuration by selecting the Dropbox Sign template you like to use for the trigger, and set the signing role you want to use for the candidate.

The singing role is a value you add to the Dropbox Sign template and allows you to set a signing order, and it allows you to assign (custom) fields on the contract to the candidate. Make sure the signing role in Teamtailor matches a signing role in Dropbox Sign, otherwise your candidate won't receive the document.

Note: the required fields on the candidate card for the Dropbox Sign integration are first name, last name and email address. Without these fields the integration will return an error.

Using the integration

Candidates that are moved to the stage where the Dropbox Sign trigger is added will be automatically receiving a Dropbox Sign e-mail with the documents to sign.

On the candidate card in Teamtailor you will see the status (sending / sent). Once signing is completed you also get a direct link to the document in Dropbox Sign.

What data is transferred?

Once the Dropbox Sign integration is triggered the following information will be transferred between Teamtailor and Dropbox Sign:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email address

  • Available templates

  • Signing roles

  • Link to signed document
