Activation

To promote your job ads as a LinkedIn Premium Job promotion, you need to activate it in the Teamtailor Marketplace.

You will then be taken to the configuration page under Settings → Integrations → Marketplace activations → LinkedIn Premium Job. Here, you need to add your LinkedIn Company ID and click Save.

Find your LinkedIn Company ID

  1. Log in to LinkedIn with an account that has administrator access to your Company page

  2. Navigate to your Company page

  3. Locate the Company ID in the URL (the numeric value)

  4. Copy the ID and add it to the configuration page in Teamtailor

If you do not have administrator access, contact the person responsible for managing your LinkedIn Company page.

Optimize your job ad

LinkedIn uses your job title, location, and job description to match your job with relevant candidates. Clear, well-structured job ads generally perform better and help improve targeting.

A clear and searchable job title

Choose a standard, searchable title and avoid creative names or internal terminology.

Good examples:

  • Marketing Manager

  • Senior Backend Developer

  • HR Business Partner

Avoid:

  • Rockstar Sales Ninja

  • Backend Hero

  • Internal role codes

Strong and structured job description

Start with a brief introduction that explains the role, location, and what makes the opportunity interesting.

Example:

"We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing team in Gothenburg. You'll play a key role in building scalable SaaS solutions used by thousands of customers worldwide."

Structure the job ad using clear sections such as About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, What we offer, and About the company. Keep the formatting clean and professional, and preview the job post before activating your promotion. Well-structured job ads help LinkedIn better understand your role and optimize delivery to relevant candidates.

Add a specific location

A location is required by LinkedIn for every promoted job and heavily impacts the targeting of the ad. This can be selected in the job creation/editing mode under the Job posting step. Be as precise as possible and clearly indicate if the role is hybrid or remote.

Promote your job ad

Before creating a promotion, make sure you have added your LinkedIn Company ID in the configuration and assigned a location to the job in question. Once LinkedIn Premium Job setup is complete and your job ad has been optimized, you're ready to create a promotion.
