By activating our integration with Gusto, you'll be able to add triggers that automatically send a candidates profile to the "Hire & Onboard" section on your Gusto platform.
To enable the integration, you first have to connect your existing Gusto account through our Marketplace page. Once in the marketplace, click on the Gusto card and press Activate. A permission request window will open where you can sign in to your Gusto account. You've now completed setting up the integration!
Set up the workflow on Teamtailor
You can set up the Gusto trigger and send your new hires data automatically to the Gusto platform when a candidate card reaches the chosen stage.
To add a trigger:
Click on the triggers tab under applications in a chosen Job.
Go to a stage where you want the event to happen.
Click the plus button ✚ to add the trigger.
Now every time you move a candidate to this stage, it will tell the Teamtailor application to send their information to your "Hire & Onboard" section on Gusto.
You will also see the candidates card in Teamtailor now has a status of "sent" under the name Gusto.
Information being sent to Gusto
Depending on whether your new hire is an employee or business/contractor, the fields that will pass information onto Gusto include:
First and Last name
Date of birth
First and Last name or Business name
Middle Initial (Contractor)
Q: What happens if an employee or contractor/business has the same email address as someone already in my Gusto account?
A: You will need to input a different email address before initiating the trigger on Teamtailor as you cannot have duplicate entities in Gusto with the same email.
Q: Do I need to integrate directly from Gusto to Teamtailor in addition too integrating with Teamtailor?
A: As long as you already have an account with Gusto, you only need to complete the integration on Teamtailor.
