The privacy policy explains to your users and candidates how their personal data is used when interacting with your career site and when you use Teamtailor’s services.
Default privacy policy
All career sites managed by Teamtailor include a default privacy policy for your site visitors. It has been created by Teamtailor, based on the information requirements under the GDPR.
This privacy policy is also linked when someone applies for a position through your career site and in emails sent via Teamtailor.
Custom privacy policy
While the default version covers the basics, every company’s data use and legal obligations are unique.
We therefore recommend reviewing and adjusting the text to ensure it reflects your specific data processing practices and the laws that apply to you.
You may need to update the policy if:
Another data protection law (in addition to or instead of the GDPR) applies to you.
You are supervised by specific data protection authority(ies). See Section 9 of the template, auto-filled based on your headquarters location, but can be edited.
You use any of the Teamtailor add-on features (e.g., Co-pilot), as these are not included in the default text.
You collect additional categories of personal data.
You use personal data for additional purposes.
You set specific retention periods for data.
You rely on different or multiple legal bases for processing personal data.
You share data with additional third parties or entities.
You must include other information required by applicable data protection laws.
If you are using our Multiple languages feature, the privacy policy will be automatically translated into each language only when using the default version. If you use a custom privacy policy, it will be applied globally and displayed in the original language you wrote it in across all sites.
