Learn how to automatically send candidates from Teamtailor to Deel

By activating the Deel integration, you'll be able to add triggers that automatically send candidates from Teamtailor to the Deel onboarding module.

Getting started in Teamtailor

To enable the integration between Deel and Teamtailor, you connect your existing Deel account to Teamtailor through our Marketplace page. Head over to the marketplace in the Teamtailor application, search for Deel, and click Activate.

Step 1. Activate Deel in the marketplace of the Teamtailor application

You will be redirected to your Deel account to allow access for the Teamtailor app. Only the 'organization admin' can provide this access.

Step 2. Allow access to the Teamtailor application

In order for this integration to work, you need to set up some custom fields on your Teamtailor account. Go to the settings in your Teamtailor application and find 'custom fields'. Click 'new custom field' to start adding the below fields (only field type and title need to be defined).

  • Nationality (field type: text) (optional) - this field only accepts the 2 letter ISO code, e.g. US.

  • Start date (field type: date) (required)

Note: The fields first name, last name, email, start data are mandatory and show on the candidate card in Teamtailor. The fields always need to be filled for the transfer to Deel to work. Nationality is optional.

Step 3. Navigate to the 'custom fields' page, click 'new custom field' to start adding.

You can find the Teamtailor integration in your Deel account under Apps & Integrations, and then on the 'Connected Apps' tab on the top.

Set up the trigger in Teamtailor

Now the integration is activated you can head over to one of your jobs in Teamtailor. From the applications view, you should click on the Triggers symbol (1).

Select the stage from which you want the transfer to trigger by clicking the ➕ (2) in that stage. Candidates that are moved to this stage will be automatically send to Deel.

Select Send Deel webhook to add the trigger.

The integration will prompt you to set the 'offer status' to either 'offer accepted' or 'offer sent'. When you’re done with the trigger setup, click Add Trigger.

When the trigger is activated by moving a candidate into the stage, the candidate will be automatically transferred to Deel. Make sure the candidate at least has the first name, last name, email and start date fields filled!

💡 If you want to automatically move candidates between stages based on their results, tick the check-box Move candidate when complete and follow the instructions.

You'll now find the new hire on the 'People' tab in Deel. You can easily review and onboard the new hire.

What data is transferred?

Once the Deel integration is triggered the following information will be transferred from Teamtailor to Deel:

  • ID

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Status

  • Link

  • Email

  • Nationality

  • Job title

  • Start date
