Automatically pass new hire information to your Sesame HR platform

By activating our integration with Sesame HR, you'll be able to add triggers that automatically send a candidates profile in Teamtailor to Sesame HR as an Employee.

Getting started

To enable the integration, you first have to connect your existing Sesame HR account through our Marketplace page. Once in the marketplace, click on the Sesame HR card and press Activate.

You'll be taken to your Settings/Sesame HR section on the Teamtailor app where you can then enter your Sesame HR api key.

Set up the workflow on Teamtailor

You can set up the Sesame HR trigger and send your new hires data automatically to the Sesame HR platform when a candidate card reaches the chosen stage.

To add a trigger:

  1. Click on the triggers tab under applications in a chosen Job.

  2. Go to a stage where you want the event to happen.

  3. Click the plus button ✚ to add the trigger.

  4. Choose zero or more optional fields:

    1. Department

    2. Office

    3. Role

Now every time you move a candidate to this stage, it will tell the Teamtailor application to send their information to your "Employee" section on Sesame HR.

You will also see the candidates card in Teamtailor now has a status of "sent" under the name Sesame HR.

Information being sent to Sesame HR

The only required information to set up a person from the Teamtailor app to your Sesame HR app is a candidates email, first and last name. However you can also add the following information to the candidate card and they will also be sent when the trigger is activated.

Required:

  • First Name

  • Last Name

  • Email

Optional:

  • Phone

  • Gender

  • SSN

  • Date of Birth

  • Custom Fields

When the candidate is created as an Employee in Sesame, they will have a status of active and an email will be sent out for your new Employee to confirm their account.

FAQs

Q: What happens if I activate a trigger but a custom field isn't populating in Sesame HR.

A: Please check that the custom field in Teamtailor and Sesame HR have exactly the same name. If they do and it is still not populating, please contact support.

Q: Where do I get my Sesame HR api key to finalise the integration with Teamtailor.

A: Sesame HR will have to provide the api key to you manually.
