Starting a new job is a significant milestone, and we believe that your candidates' announcement should be a memorable experience! With the New hire page, you automatically create a shareable page that you easily can send the link of to your new colleague so they can spread the good news.

What does the page look like?

The sharing page will automatically fetch relevant information on the new job. It’s not possible to edit the design of the page. The components of the page are:

  • the cover image used in the job

    • If no cover image is added, a nice picture of celebratory confetti is used

  • the external title of the job

  • the job’s location

    • if the job posting has multiple locations and the candidate selected more than one, no location will be displayed

  • a link to the department page of the department the job is published in

  • the people listed under Colleagues in the job posting

  • gallery used in the job posting (from the job page template)

    • if no gallery is added to the template a gallery from the home page is added. If several galleries exist, the last one on the home page is used.

  • information about your company which is a copy of your career site footer.

  • link to your career site’s job openings

  • sharing buttons to LinkedIn, Facebook, and X

  • the profile picture of the candidate

The page also includes a confetti canon, allowing people to celebrate the job with your new hire. Clicking this button will trigger a confetti rain on the screen 🎉

How can you enable and share the page with your new hire?

The creation of the page is linked to a stage action which, by default, is added to all Hired stages in your processes. Now, all you have to do is move the candidate to the hired stage and the page is created automatically. The new hire page is never indexed. That means even when people search for it, the search engine (e.g. Google) won't show results from that particular page.

Once the page is created, you’ll immediately see a link to the sharing page, both in the recruitment overview and in the candidate’s activity list. Here, you can view the page as well as share it with the candidate.

Clicking Send link to candidate will create a pre-written email, under the Message tab in the candidate’s profile, containing the link. You have the opportunity to edit the text if you wish, and then all left to do is send it!

The candidate will receive the sharing page in the email you sent, and can share it on their social media or whoever is asking about their new job. Not only does this mean your candidate can, in a smooth way, inform about (and most importantly celebrate) their new job with their network, but it’s also a neat way for the same network to get insight and awareness into your company. A classic win-win, in other words.

Can I disable this feature?

If you wish to disable the creation of the new hire page, simply remove the stage action. Either do this via the job’s editing mode by going to the section called Stages and removing the action on the Hired stage. Or, if you prefer, remove it directly from the recruitment overview by untoggling the New hire share page.

If you change your mind, you can always enable the feature back on the hire stage by adding it as a stage action.

Disable/enable the feature for several jobs at once

If you want to disable or enable the sharing page for several jobs at once, you can do this by using the Bulk feature. Head over to the Jobs page, activate the Bulk select 1), and select the jobs you wish to edit (2). Then, click the three dots in the menu that appear and then click New hire share page status, and change to your liking.
