Our Requisition feature enables your company to use a customizable form that needs to be filled out and approved before any user can create a new job. Allowing you greater control over what jobs are published, while also documenting and tracking relevant job data effectively. You can read more about it here.
A Company Admin user needs to request this feature to be added by your Teamtailor contact person or support team. Please note that this feature may come with an additional cost.
Let's take a look at how to approve or deny a requisition to start a new hiring process for your company.
Find requisitions awaiting your approval
If you are part of an approval flow, you will be asked to take action on the requisition. Once the requisition is submitted, you will receive an in-app notification, but you can also opt-in for more options in your notification settings. A click on the link in the notification will direct you to the requisition page.
To make it extra easy to find and access requisitions you have created or those awaiting your approval, add the dashboard widget My requisitions to your dashboard.
Lastly, you can find all requests requiring your attention in the Requisitions overview. Open filters at the top right corner, then choose Awaiting my approval in the Approver field to display only the requests awaiting your approval.
Approve
When you receive a request to approve or deny a requisition, you will start by thoroughly reviewing its details. If everything is in order, click Approve at the bottom of the page to move the flow to the next step.
You can also add a comment for the next approvers and the requisition creator to provide any additional information.
Deny
If it becomes necessary to reject the requisition, click Deny. This will open a comment box where you can provide details explaining your decision.
The denial notification, along with your feedback, will be sent to the requisition creator. They or a Company Admin can then edit the requisition to incorporate your feedback and resubmit it for approval. Once resubmitted, the approval flow will restart from the beginning.
Edit approval flow
Company Admins and approvers with the ‘Approvers from this step can edit the flow’ permission can change who needs to approve a requisition. This may be necessary if an approver, for example, is on leave and needs to be replaced.
Proposed changes
Sometimes an approved requisition needs to be altered, often due to changes in job allocation. Proposed changes will then be displayed under the Details tab, where you can review a side-by-side comparison and choose to approve or deny them.
