We’ve been working on several improvements to the recruitment experience in Teamtailor, with the goal of making it easier to create and manage jobs, reduce duplicate work, and connect more of the hiring process in one workflow.

In this article, we’ll walk you through what’s new and how these improvements affect your hiring process.

Why we’re making this change

Recruitment involves several connected steps, from identifying a hiring need and getting approvals to creating a job ad and preparing an offer. Until now, information hasn’t always flowed smoothly between these steps, leading to duplicated work and repeated data entry.

Based on user feedback and research, we’ve redesigned the job setup experience to make the hiring journey more connected and flexible. The job is now the central place for recruitment information, allowing you to start with what you know, add details as you go, and reuse information throughout the process. The goal is to help you move faster while maintaining structure, compliance, and visibility.

What's new

With this update, we introduce a new way to create and manage jobs in Teamtailor, connecting more of the hiring process in one workflow. The changes make it easier to set up and manage jobs, reduce duplicate work, and provide more flexibility throughout the hiring process.

For recruiters and hiring teams: Spend less time on setup and repeated data entry, with more flexibility to manage your recruitment process.

For admins and organizations: Get better visibility into hiring needs, greater control over how recruitment is managed, and the option to use consistent approval processes when needed.

Better visibility and control over your hiring

Get a clear overview of your hiring needs and more control over how recruitment is managed.

  • The Hiring Plan helps you align on hiring goals and follow your recruitment progress.

  • The Job Offers overview makes it easier to keep track of job offers and their current statuses.

  • The Promotions overview has moved under the Jobs tab to bring job promotions closer to the jobs they belong to and make them easier to manage.

  • The Job approvals feature helps you set up consistent approval processes and ensure jobs are reviewed according to your organization’s requirements.

An easier way to create jobs

Job creation has been redesigned to help you get started faster. Instead of making every decision upfront, you can start with the essentials and add more details as you go.

  • A new job creation flow brings the essential information together in one place.

  • Job template suggestions make it easier to find the right job template based on the department, role, and location you select.

  • Job and job ad separation allows you to create and manage jobs with or without publishing a job ad, supporting confidential recruitment, sourcing, and internal moves.

More flexibility when creating job ads

The updated job ad editor gives you more control over how you configure and manage your job ads.

  • An improved job ad editor gives you more space to work on your content.

  • Support for multiple ads per job (coming soon!) lets you manage multiple ads connected to the same job.

A streamlined hiring process

The hiring process can now be configured more efficiently, with the tools and information you need available throughout the process.

  • Configure recruitment stages with interview kits, stage actions, and triggers all in one place.

  • Set up and manage evaluation criteria directly from the job process view.

  • View key job details from the recruitment process using the toggle next to the job title.

  • Access additional options from the job menu (...) for further customization when needed.

A more connected recruitment workflow

Information can be reused between jobs, job ads, and job offers, reducing the need to enter the same details multiple times while still allowing you to make changes at each stage when needed.

  • Connected job information lets you reuse details entered when creating a job all the way through to the job offer, reducing duplicate work.

  • Manage information separately when needed, allowing details such as compensation to be different for the job, job ad, and job offer(s).
